The fire warden/marshal training course is valuable for all employees that have areas of fire safety or health and safety responsibilities including management .Fire extinguisher training

Course overview

This course is of 4 hours duration designed to give the students a greater understanding fire safety, the dangers from fire and smoke, how to safely deal with a small fire and ensure safe evacuation. All students will have the opportunity to safely operate a range of portable fire extinguishers on our modern LPG fire fighting demonstration units.

Aims and objectives

By the end of the course, the students will:

  • Understand the causes of fire, basic fire prevention and be able to identify fire hazards in the workplace
  • More fully understand the dangers of fire including the speed of spread and its development 
  • Understand the action to be taken upon discovering a fire and be able to select and use a range of fire fighting equipment 
  • Have an awareness of human behaviour in fire situations
  • Understand the importance of maintaining fire safety measures and staff training and how failings in these or fire safety management can quickly lead to confusion, injuries, possibly fatalities and loss of business.

Location

The course can be delivered at a suitable location for learning either at the workplace or at a mutually convenient external location. Additional costs may be incurred for booking external venues.
